Otology and Neurotology

We are committed to providing comprehensive medical and surgical care to patients with a wide range of otologic and neurotologic disease, including chronic otitis media (cholesteatomas, tympanic membrane perforations), otosclerosis and conductive hearing loss, sensorineural hearing loss, vestibular disorders and Meniere’s disease, facial nerve paralysis and facial nerve tumors, and temporal bone/skull base tumors, such as vestibular schwannomas and paragangliomas (glomus tumors).  We offer bone-anchored hearing aids and maintain an active cochlear implant program.

Robert Jyung, MD. Dr. Jyung is the Director of Otology/Neurotology at University Hospital and is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. Previously, at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston, a teaching hospital for Harvard Medical School. He has extensive experience in all aspects of temporal bone surgery, with medical expertise in cholesteatoma, chronic otitis media, facial nerve surgery, otosclerosis and stapedctomy, hearing, cochlear implants, bone-anchored hearing aids, glomus tumors, acoustic neuromas and Meniere’s disease.
