Healthy Heart Program

The Healthy Heart Program at University Hospital was launched in December 2014 to help heart failure patients manage their care at home, with the goal of minimizing hospitalizations.

A multidisciplinary team helps each patient live a heart healthy lifestyle by incorporating a healthy diet, regular exercise, behavioral changes and a regimen of medication. Patients have independence while improving their quality of life.

The Healthy Heart Program is located in the Ambulatory Care Center, 140 Bergen Street, Newark, NJ, 07103.
Our hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
