The Division of Pediatric Dentistry provides comprehensive dental care for all patients, including medically compromised children who are inpatients and outpatients. Emergency treatment is provided 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week through the pediatric emergency department. . Some patients receive comprehensive care and rehabilitation in the operating room under general anesthesia. These patients include the very young who are unable to withstand routine dental procedures in an outpatient setting and whose dental needs are extensive, as well as the medically compromised or disabled patient with extensive dental needs.
