UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL PUBLIC STATEMENT REGARDING THE BLACK LIVES MATTER MOVEMENT

University Hospital stands unequivocally behind the #BlackLivesMatter movement, and its purpose to condemn systemic racism in every shape and form. As a hospital that serves a patient
population that includes primarily persons of color, we have been fighting to save Black lives every single day throughout this crisis, and well before.

Right now, we know that our Black community is suffering. We see you, we share your pain, and we are here to support you. We stand with our Black patients, with our Black doctors, nurses, technicians, administrators, and support staff, and with our Black elected officials and community leaders.

This Hospital would not exist without our Black community. We are here with you and we are here to serve you – today, and for better tomorrows, and for generations to come.
