UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL WELCOMES SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, CONSTRUCTION AND REAL ESTATE
NEWARK, NJ — University Hospital (UH) has selected Jennifer Denault as its new Senior Vice President, Construction and Real Estate. She will lead the Hospital’s highly anticipated campus project, oversee the current maintenance and facilities support services, and manage the existing groups that operate University Hospital’s facilities. Jennifer joins University Hospital at a crucial time as the organization enters the beginning stages of a multi-year project to modernize its hospital and medical facilities. By bringing the campus to contemporary construction standards and by rightsizing facilities to appropriate dimensions to match the incredible talents of Rutgers faculty physicians and Hospital employees, UH will deliver on its promises to the residents as part of the 1968 Newark Agreements, advancing the critical role it plays in delivering care for residents throughout the State.
Of the new appointment, Ed Jimenez, President and Chief Executive Officer of University Hospital, says, “We’re pleased to welcome Jennifer to our University Hospital family. She is a seasoned professional who has many years of experience bringing important advances to local communities. I am confident that she has the skills and talent to shepherd University Hospital’s multi-year modernization and expansion project.”
Jennifer Denault comes to UH from her position as the head of project development for the Scorpio Construction Corporation in Florida. During her tenure, she led initiatives that resulted in new school facilities, university buildings, and improved healthcare facilities. Jennifer also previously served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Cade Museum for Creativity & Invention in Gainesville, Florida, where she not only led operations but also oversaw the construction of a 30,000 sq ft facility. Mrs. Denault holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida.
“I look forward to joining the UH team at this time of tremendous opportunity, where I fully expect to hit the ground running on the Hospital’s campus project,” said Jennifer Denault. “UH is clearly an invaluable resource for the community and the State and deserves to have facilities that reflect its important status. My extensive experience in project development will allow me to navigate any upcoming challenges and drive the Hospital’s plan forward to the benefit of its staff, its medical professionals, and its patients.”
