“Setting the standard of care for those patients suffering with chronic wounds”

A Personalized Approach To Advanced Wound Care

Advanced Vascular Care

The Wound Care Center at University Hospital is setting the standard of care for those patients suffering with wounds. Our aim is to improve their quality of life through a comprehensive, multidisciplinary treatment approach to healing and symptoms management. These symptoms include pain, odor, drainage, anxiety, and depression. Working in partnership with your referring physician, our team will design a treatment plan to promote long term healing and health. Our process begins with a comprehensive consultation with an advanced wound care expert. We conduct a thorough medical history focused on individual health concerns that may contribute to non-healing wounds, such as diabetes, peripheral vascular disease and autoimmune disorders. Together we assess lifestyle factors to learn about diet, and physical activities.

At University Hospital our approach to wound care encompasses the entire family and focuses on improving your quality of life. From the outset, we strive to build a foundation of trust and open communication in order to create a personalized treatment plan that addresses the needs of both patient and family. The Wound Care Center at University Hospital also provides consultation services to nursing homes and longterm care facilities on request. Specially trained nurses and therapists are available to provide expert wound care advise for patients living at home.
