Sophisticated radiological and urological instrumentation is available for diagnosis and treatment of complex cases. A multidisciplinary setting for the evaluation and management of patients with genitourinary malignancies, such as bladder or kidney cancer, emphasizing state-of-the-art therapy combined with clinical trials as indicated, is provided by the clinical team that consists of urologic oncologists, radiation therapist, medical oncologists and nursing. Oncological surgical procedures include radical prostatectomy, cystectomy, and nephrectomy; lymph node dissection; and pelvic exenteration. Robotic surgery is available and performed when clinically indicated.
Reconstructive surgery of the lower urinary tract for traumatic urethral strictures, hypospadias, vesicovaginal fistulas, traumatic injuries to the bladder and ureters, and replacement of the lower ureter is offered for other conditions.
