Edward Jimenez, MBA

Ed Jimenez is the President and CEO of University Hospital. A seasoned hospital executive and New Jersey native, Ed joined University Hospital from University of Florida Health Shands Hospital where he served as CEO for over eight years. At UF Health, Ed grew the system from a $1 billion – 8,000 employee organization to a $2.7 billion organization with 14,000 employees. Previously, Ed held senior leadership positions at St. Joseph’s Healthcare System, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and University Hospital under its previous name as the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Ed is the Chair-Elect of the AAMC’s Council of Academic Health System Executives (CAHSE) Administrative Board and currently holds several national board appointments, and holds faculty appointments at Johns Hopkins University, The University of Florida, and Rutgers University.
