Your UOA provider and supporting staff attentively provide the full spectrum of general and specialty obstetrical and gynecological care and treatment services you (and your unborn baby) need to stay healthy, including annual pelvic exams, family planning, colposcopy, urogynecology, high-risk obstetrical services, amniocentesis, OB/GYN ultrasounds and gynecological oncology. When additional specialized testing is required, your UOA provider will refer you to professionals capable of providing that expertise, right here at University Hospital.

Providing a well-rounded care plan, given by a patient care team. UOA provides our patients with a complete package including social workers, case coordinators health educators and a nutritionist on-site and ready to answer your questions or offer advice during the course of your visit.

UOA combines the personal attentions and individualized treatment you expect to receive at a physician’s private office with the state-of-the art skills and equipment you know you’ll find at the University Hospital. Our offices are conveniently located at the Ambulatory Care Center, a private-practice environment located adjacent to the University Hospital. All of our attending physicians are on the academic faculty of the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and the medical staff of the University Hospital. This keeps them up-to-date on the latest diagnoses and treatment options in touch with their specialists in a wide range of practice areas. At UOA, they are your personal physicians, specifically focusing on you and your unique healthcare needs.

Insurance: UOA accepts a wide and still expanding range of insurance plans. If you are in a participating HMO plan and you have already selected an OB/GYN provider, switching to UOA is as easy as calling your insurer and requesting the change.
